Bahamas Wedding at Pelican Bay - a Red and navy blue affair

A Bahamas Wedding is quite popular over Valentine's Day.  Pelican Bay at Lucaya Hotel on Grand Bahama Island has had its share of such weddings and today we feature a recent Valentine's wedding in the Bahamas affair.

An afternoon private, secluded beach ceremony before guests from throughout the United States was followed by a beautiful poolside reception with the bay as a backdrop.  Guests were treated to butler passed hors d'oeuvres of Chicken Tortilla Rolls on Skewers with Spicy Mango Sauce, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Blackened Beef Fajita, Crispy Bacon, Cream Cheese and Spinach Stuffed Mushroom and Light & Golden Conch Fritters with Bahama Mama Fry Sauce during a cocktail hour.

Guests dined on a first course of Roasted Sirloin Salad with Honey Nut Dressing and Ginger Tiger Shrimp Salad with Mango and Avocado.  Main courses were Balsamic Grilled Chicken Breast, served with Mushroom Risotto, Grilled Vegetables and Mushroom Sauce and Pepper Crusted Beef and Saute Snapper with Grilled Vegetables and Mushroom Sauce.  Desserts of Sabor Gossip Cake and wedding cake of chocolate with fresh raspberries and coconut for groom.

Bride, groom and guests shook their legs to an amazing Junkanoo performance before dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Earl Neely.  Photos courtesy of Lyndah Wells Photography.
